Canadian Embassies & High Commissions

In order to maintain fruitful international relations and to provide assistance to Canadians travelling abroad, Canada has set up formal relations with many countries in the world. This takes place in the form of Embassies. With other members of the Commonwealth, Canada establishes a High Commission instead of an Embassy since all members of the Commonwealth have the same Head of State (Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II). If there is significant international relations between countries which the main Embassy can not handle alone, then smaller Consulates and Consulate Generals are established in other cities of the host country.

This used to be a list of Canada's embassies with links to their websites. As their website addresses have changed so often, we have decided to link directly to Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada's list of links.
