Provincial Elections

March 30, 2006 Provincial By-Election (Whitby-Ajax)

October 4, 2007 Provincial Election (Ontario)

Provincial elections in Ontario typically occur approximately every four years. The last election was held on September 2, 2003. Since that time, the governing Liberals have proposed to set fixed elections every four years on the first Thursday in October. While this law will not prevent the Lieutenant Governor from calling an election at another time, it begins the process of regulating elections in Ontario - and therefore the terms of office of governing parties - to approximately four years.
