Cabinet


Cabinet Ministers are the most powerful elected officials in government. They are sworn to the Privy Council and are bound by collective responsibility. They work with their staffs to set policies for their ministries and present (or defend) those policies in the House of Commons. They shepherd their bills through various readings and committees before having their bills votes into law. Cabinet members are 7th on the Canadian Order of Precedence.
