100% Canadian

The telephone rings, usually about dinner time, and it's someone wanting to hear your opinions and learn about your habits. You are told something and asked if you strongly agree/agree or strongly disagree/disagree. The potatoes are boiling over so you say something, anything just to get off the phone. We are a poked and prodded nation. Murray Campbell concludes. Since systematic polling began more than 60 years ago, almost every area of human activity in Canada has been probed. The data below were culled from the torrent of polls, reports and surveys released in the past year and provide a random - indeed, a very random - picture of Canadian life in the new millennium.
